The walk begins in the quiet village of Gerani, where we leave the houses behind and enter the peaceful Cretan countryside.

The path leads through open land and olive groves, where sheep often graze and the landscape feels calm and authentic.

Gradually, we reach the old village of Vrises, a traditional settlement where we walk through narrow village lanes before continuing uphill toward the hills above.

From here, the path leads into a natural gorge, where the trail gently climbs through rock and vegetation.

Following this quiet passage, we eventually reach a hidden bunker, almost perfectly integrated into the surrounding landscape and easy to miss if you don’t know where to look.

From the bunker, the route continues uphill toward the hilltop church of Agios Giorgos.

Here we stop for a small picnic with a spectacular 360° panorama. From this viewpoint the landscape opens in every direction — the mountains, the countryside and the deep blue of the sea.

After the break, the walk continues along scenic paths with repeated views toward the sea, offering beautiful photo opportunities before we gently make our way back through the countryside.
